The Black Jack Mini is the simplest, lightest and most affordable electric jockey wheel on the market today.

The Black Jack Mini is purposed designed with a 50mm diameter shaft that will fit a 50mm standard jockey wheel clamp.
With 3 different mounting notches to choose from, the Black Jack Mini can be positioned for optimum lift and storage. Boasting 1,000 kg of lift capacity, the Black Jack Mini will lift the ball weight on most Australian Caravans and Trailers. Ball weight is usually 10% of overall weight. So, a Caravan with overall weight (ATM) of 3,000kg will have a ball weight of approximately 300kg. The Black Jack Mini will lift up to 1,000 kg so it will do it with ease.

Yes, The Black Jack Mini has been designed and developed so it fits a standard jockey wheel’s clamp with a 50mm diameter. The spacing between the lifting ribs are 100mm apart, to maximise compatibility and adjustability.
Jockey wheels are a little problematic in that there is no standard, and Manufacturers are all over the place.
Bracket manufacturers spacings on double clamps are a highly varied, some 75mm, 80mm, some 90mm, some 100mm. We standardized the Black Jack Mini spacings at 100mm to achieve maximum universal fit. That way you can always be sure to pick up one lift point and that is all you need.
In addition, our research and testing show there are 2 different size jockey wheel clamps in Australia, large 57-64mm (2.36 inch) and small 46-54mm (2 inch). Most of the small clamps (e.g. Alko, Ark) are designed to fit a range of Jockey wheels from 46 to 52mm diameter. The Black Jack Mini has a diameter of 50mm so will fit in a small jockey wheel clamp.
As well as diameter, Jockey wheel clamps have different threads. E.g. Alko use 1\2 inch, Ark use 12mm. That is why our Black Jack jockey wheel lock comes with 2 pins, one is 12mm thread and the other is 1\2 inch.
Yes the Black Jack Mini has been designed and tested, and is fully compliant with the Australian gas standard AS/NZS 5601.2:2020 + A1:2021.
All Black Jacks come pre-wired to a 50A Anderson plug and require constant 12V power to operate. If your car or caravan does not have a suitable Anderson plug, consider buying and installing the Black Jack wiring harness.
The Black Jack will pull 6A with no load, and a maximum of 20A under the maximal load of 1000kg.
The Black Jack can give a max lift of up to 500mm. Plus it has 3 height adjustments that can be used to tailor the height to your caravan or trailer. In addition, the Mini Folding foot adds another 150mm taking total stroke to 650mm.
