Black Jack Mini Scratch and Dent

SKU BJTJ-Mini-SD Category

$295.00

2 in stock

The Black Jack Mini Scratch and Dent includes the all-weather cover and foot pad.

Black Jacks that are eligible to be placed on the scratch and dent sale page include jacks that are not in original new condition. They may have been affected by:

  • damage in transport, either on the way to our warehouse or from our warehouse to the customer
  • damage to boxes
  • transportation damage to the pallet
  • the jack being returned as a result of not being suitable for the customer
  • Minor mechanical or electrical issues that have been diagnosed, and repairs and replacements carried out as required. All repairs are carried out in-house, and all replacement parts are genuine factory replacement parts.

Please note that only the basic models of the Black Jacks are offered as scratch and dent. That means:

  • the basic Mini not the Mini with FF that included the folding foot

The Black Jacks then go through a rigorous inspection procedure, which covers all aspects of the Black Jacks operation. Once completed, the quality control checklist is signed by the factory supervisor and then placed in the scratch and dent area of the warehouse, ready for sale.

The black Jacks are fully inspected, with any damage replaced with original new parts. They are fully tested to ensure that they are in 100% working condition. They also carry the normal 3-year unconditional warranty for all Black Jacks. As they are scratch-and-dent items and not brand-new units, they are sold at a discount to the normal recommended retail price.

FAQ

Will the Black Jack Mini fit my existing Jockey Wheel Clamp?

Yes, The Black Jack Mini has been designed and developed so it fits a standard jockey wheel’s clamp with a 50mm diameter. The spacing between the lifting ribs are 100mm apart, to maximise compatibility and adjustability.

Jockey wheels are a little problematic in that there is no standard, and Manufacturers are all over the place.

Bracket manufacturers spacings on double clamps are a highly varied, some 75mm, 80mm, some 90mm, some 100mm. We standardized the Black Jack Mini spacings at 100mm to achieve maximum universal fit. That way you can always be sure to pick up one lift point and that is all you need.

In addition, our research and testing show there are 2 different size jockey wheel clamps in Australia, large 57-64mm (2.36 inch) and small 46-54mm (2 inch). Most of the small clamps (e.g. Alko, Ark) are designed to fit a range of Jockey wheels from 46 to 52mm diameter. The Black Jack Mini has a diameter of 50mm so will fit in a small jockey wheel clamp.

As well as diameter, Jockey wheel clamps have different threads. E.g. Alko use 1\2 inch, Ark use 12mm. That is why our Black Jack jockey wheel lock comes with 2 pins, one is 12mm thread and the other is 1\2 inch.

Is the Black Jack Mini gas compliant?

Yes the Black Jack Mini has been designed and tested, and is fully compliant with the Australian gas standard AS/NZS 5601.2:2020 + A1:2021.

How is the Black Jack Mini powered?

All Black Jacks come pre-wired to a 50A Anderson plug and require constant 12V power to operate. If your car or caravan does not have a suitable Anderson plug, consider buying and installing the Black Jack wiring harness.

How much power does the Black Jack Mini draw during operation?

The Black Jack will pull 6A with no load, and a maximum of 20A under the maximal load of 1000kg.

How much lift can the Black Jack Mini give me?

The Black Jack can give a max lift of up to 500mm. Plus it has 3 height adjustments that can be used to tailor the height to your caravan or trailer. Given there are many different heights of caravans, you must ensure that you install the Mini in a position that gives adequate ground clearance.

In addition, the Mini Folding foot (sold separately) adds another 150mm taking total stroke to 650mm.
